When you give to Noir Design Parti, you help us to share the significant contributions of black architects of the past and present, their influence on design, and how their buildings have helped to shape the physical identity of Detroit, and cities worldwide.
Through your generous donations we can reach and inspire a diverse new generation of students to consider architecture as a possible career choice for their future. As winners in the 2016 Knight Arts Challenge, the Knight Foundation will match every dollar donated to the Noir Design Parti project. Please consider being a Project Sponsor ($250 or more) or making a donation in of any amount.We've had a busy year sharing the stories of Detroit's Black Architects through lectures and presentations, exhibits, and bus tours through Midtown and downtown Detroit. Wait, we're not finished yet! We're planning video interviews with architects, their families and colleagues, and other digital documentation of their important work. The interviews, wiki pages, and digital maps and website are a huge part of our overall project - ensuring that these stories live forever.
